drinking 750ml of whiskey a day

by on oktober 24, 2020

Is your Dads cancer curable? How old are you. that it is probably a combination of the strongish pain killers he was taken and the whiskey in the coffee as all of these tumbles have been around that time of the morning. Or is it not that easy to categorise? I probably drank a 750 or a little less every day, never developed any physical dependence.. the only negative in my situation was that my blood pressure was way high before I stopped the daily drinking. be … 750 ml per bottle = 30 units = roughly the weekly limit for an adult male. There has been 2-3 times that I can recall where I felt some jitters in the morning but I’d take a shot or 2 of Scotch and they go away, after that my body feels completely normal. See.. Weigh up whether trying to intervene and possibly straining your relationship with your Dad is going to be worth it in the long run. I am inclined to let him get on with it.. How do you feel when you’re not drinking? We are able to pretty much monitor the situation as he can't get out to get it himself. does he realise that he could seriously hurt himself? Can you get him to equate falling over with the alcohol? IMHO. I wouldn't want to drop him in it!' His disability means he is very unsteady on his feet. IMO, a normal bigger sized (ie not miniature) bottle of whiskey should last about a month, a smaller one (not miniature but the ones that are kind of square/flat), I would say a week. Whisky is a pretty serious drink, to be getting through more than half a bottle a week (and that would be a lot) would be cause for conern I would say

and has a 'wee dram' (not sure it's that wee!) (actually 1.5 more but whose counting). Honestly I don’t feel anything, I’ll do the same routine every day and I wake Monday- Saturday at 5 am to get ready for work.

Usually fall asleep 11:30-12:00, I just take big gulps but I don’t get smashed. Only the person drinking can decide that they have a problem and need help, you can't make them. His is 74 and definitely not 'losing it' (please excuse the expression!)

I thought this was shock.. but lately it dawned on me (belatedly!) Until that time I was not aware he was having any more than 1 bottle per week!

Anyway, we worried about his drinking and smoking, and were convinced that he'd kill himself falling down the stairs or whatever. Can he go without? On Saturday am he fell.. (He gave up pipe smoking some years ago thank God.) Until he wants to stop he will continue to drink.

However, a whiskey drink may "make people nauseous" or "give people hangovers," as assistant professor of neuroscience at Brown University, Karla Kaun, noted to Forbes. You'd need the support of his carers and the rest of the family though. Either it makes you poor, or you have enough money to send me a bottle a month. Actually took about 2 years to even out after I stopped.. to be clear I was never on the wagon, just kept the booze to my days off for the past 4 going on 5 years... good luck man, and have fun but keep an eye on your health and be honest with your doctor.
